Lets say your desired PC is called "pc-sales" for a PC in the Sales department.
Then you use:
net send pc-sales This is my message to you.
Or lets say you want to send a message to John Doe, who has a Username of "jdoe":
net send jdoe Hi Joe. I'll buy you a beer!
For more help about net send type the following command in the command window:
net help send
By the way: this only works, if the pc is not firewalled and has the messenger service running (and don't confuse the messenger service with the MSN Messenger)

from run: net send "message" then enter. but it is annoying from the person who use the point of view, because net send pop up a window that contain the "message" with a loud beep sound. Imagine you are typing or browsing then suddenly one window with a loud beep sound appears out of nowhere, containing a message "meeting at 9:00 AM". an intern e-mail system is more appropriate
