It's likely this is the way her mother treated her. It's sad. Perhaps you could speak to her about how it makes you feel. Try not to get angry or upset or make her feel like you are accusing her of anything. But you can learn from this. You know this is a problem, children need love and cuddles and affection. You can make sure you don't make this mistake if you ever have children of your own. You know it isn't you that is the problem here. I'm sure your mother does love you, she's just not comfortable expressing it.

That doesn't allways mean you are not loved by her. Some people have a hard time showing there feelings for a loved one. i speak from experience. i love my mom to death but i dont hug her very often or tell her I love her. I show her in other ways.

I am very sorry for you. Maybe you need to talk to her or write her a letter, does she have a mental disorder,I do not mean that disrespectfully. How old is she? I really hope the two of you get this resolved, theres nothing better than a hug from your mom.

That makes me want to get up and hug my children. I tell them I love, but no as often as I should. thank you
If you wait for things to happen for you, you will wait. hug your mom. tell her you love her. break the ice, once, twice third time. set close to her when watching t.v. or hold her hand when out.
My children do this. for no reason at all.
Maybe she wasn't shown affection as a child or even as an adult. talk about it. let her know its OK.

I doubt it is a lack of love, more over it is most likely that she is unsure how to show you this affection since you are an adult. Try talking to her more about your life and see if she engages in what you have to say.

Dont be dishearted or feel sad.May be she is facing some problems in life, which you are un aware of them. You are old enough to discuss problems with your mom.Show ur love and feelings to her first.Try to take her in confidence,be friendly with her.Help her in her house work.I think mother and daughter should be best friends.Show ur affection first ,you'll find the result soon..........

Have you asked her why? Maybe she feels you don't want a hug now that you are a teen. Try hugging her. See how she responds and tell her you miss being hugged. I bet you she misses it too.
