I feel sorry for them to an extent. Their whole life as they know and how they should live it will stop. No fun, no total concentration on school, the stigma of being a teen parent ect. I have gone to school while pregnant before. I was 23 and went for some classes and let me tell you it was HARD. I couldn't concentrate, and when I got home it was difficult to study.

Not only do I feel sorry for the teen I feel sorry for the baby. Don't get me wrong...I know a few teen parents that really had their life together. But still, that baby may be resented, and with the parent still being a child may have wrong decisions made on its behalf.

I don't understand why it is so darn hard for a kid to finish school, maybe go to college, find a good job and THEN think about having a family. It's only fair for the baby. I had my daughter when I was 19 and out of school, and married. That was hard enough. I was stupid, thought I knew everything. I ended up divorced in three years. My daughter has turned out beautifully, but the results of my knowing it all could have turned out for the worse.

You shouldn't blame the teenager's parents. Nor is adoption or abortion necessarily the "right thing to do"
The girl's parents do not end up doing all the hard work not in all cases.
I know people that are 30 something and do not take responsibility for their children and their grandparents look after them so what does it matter how old you are seriously.

I'mk married and have a baby and thats hard, I think being 15 and pregnant and single can only add to the stress...no one can tell you what you should believe but honey, its hard. Babies need constant attention and they are EXPENSIVE!!! Put it this way....$75 a week in formula...$30 in diapers...$10 wipes and lotion...you haen't even bought clothes yet and theres you're paycheck from Mc Donalds...my husband is an accountant in Manhattan and we have a hard time making ends meet every week...think about how difficult it is for adults to have kids then add in the stress of High School...if you have any alternatives, explore them...otherwise, I wish you luck and hope to god you have understanding and helpful parents...

well from the view i had it was very difficult. when i graduated my son was 5 months old. i was working about 30 hours a week. living on my own with roommates. yet still managing to go to school for the 3 classes a day that would give me just enuff credits to grad. i am now 27 i love my son deeply, but i'm definitely nowhere near where i thought i would be this time in my life.

Hard on the girl's parents because basically they will have to do the hard work. But otherwise - the children usually come out well adjusted and intelligent.

pregnancy happens weather we are 15 or 31 it happens, and all we can do is accept the responsibility, step up and be the parent our child is expecting us to be. any teen can get pregnant, its weather or not the take the responsibility of taking care of their child.
