that's easy, when people go into a cold room the room starts to get stuffy and hot. heat traveled by convection from the warm bodies to the air in the room.

when air(or liquid) are heated up,the volume increase and density decrease,therefore the less dense air(or liquid) floats up while the denser ones sink,which causes a convection current.because Density=mass/volume.

the less dense one are hotter than the denser one.
one example of convection use in our daily life is the refrigerator,that's why freezer are always on the top.

another example is land and sea breezes..
and heating a beaker of water up using bunsen burner/s.
you can always draw the convection current in "circles"
