Depending on what kind of song it is. IF it's booty shaking song no need to close my eyes. IF it's a slow sad song maybe. Personally I have never closed my eyes less I am going to sleep and listening to slow jams on radio, but I believe some people do it to feel the lyrics.

They want to hear how sweet is the music and the message they want to get into that music, sometimes they remember their old day and their back life and where there are going

When you take away one of your senses, another sense is heightened. Just how they say that blind people have a really good sense of hearing. I think by closing your eyes, you heighten your sense of hearing and you are able to better concentrate on what you are hearing.
