Many years ago when I moved into an apartment building I had many roaches.
Roaches thrive in a place where bits of food and water exist.
--- Keep dirty dishes out of the sink; put the trash out every night.
--- Clean and wipe drips of spilled beverages and food.
--- If you have children, watch the crumbs and little hands with
remnants of food that leave food smells around.
--- I also recomment that you be careful about leftover pet food
which may encourage roaches.
--- Use Boric Acid to line your cabinets and in corners where the
pets or children can not access.
----Use "Raid Max" spray and traps -- no other brand works!l
----Dry your dishes before you put them away and keep the area
around the sink dry. Roaches like water.

I can honestly say, that even though my neighbors in this 30 family building continued to have roaches, I did not have even one. Not one.

I hope this helps.

The boric acid and diatomaceous (sp?) earth are good suggestions, but, the first thing I'd do would be to use some roach bombs. Get the furkids out of the house, see if a friend will board them for a couple of days, maybe. Follow the instructioins on the bombs, then, sweep up the roach corpses. Air everything out really well, and then, clean the ever loving hell out of everything in the house. Roaches won't stay in a clean place. Be sure you are anal as all get out about leaving food out or trash being hauled off. Most likely in a condo, there's a neighbor who's not too particular about their cleanliness, so you're getting their roach overspill. If you know this, I'd make sure I used the diatomaceous (sp?) earth against the wall on the floor that adjoins their unit. Also, if you're leasing your condo, I'd have a chat with the building manager/landlord. If he/she's any good, I'm sure they don't want roaches in their units.

Roaches are damned hard to get rid of, so you'll need to be real persistent about cleaning and making sure no food is left out. Keep a close eye around the pets' food, and around the trash cans. If these suggestions don't work, then I'd call in the pros.

Unless the whole building is treated at the same time anything you do will not solve your problem. Do you have a condo board? They need to coordinate a full treatment of the building on a periodic basis to do any good.

Many of the suggestions stated for this anwer are good but not unless you do the whole place at once and keep on doing it.

I have used allot of stuff to get rid of roaches in our rental units. The only one that kept them away was roach motels. I like them because they are low impact and you can hide them every where. It will take a few days for them to die out but they do work. Keep them out even when you don't roaches.

You can't unless the whole building is treated. If you want to try, use,"Ditromatious Earth." You can also use ,Baby powder.Baking powder, ect. This gets under their scales, and than cuts off their breath. You can use sprays till your blue, but the earth is the best thing.Get it at a pool supply, or garden center.
