My truest passion has not come true, I have been playing guitar for 25 years. I am now in my mid to late 30's. I have always wanted to be a songwriter. How do I get started? How do I find a songwriting partner? I live in a semi-populous area of southern Connecticut.

Perhaps a little out of your loop, but maybe not. Consider the classifieds there. Local newspapers. MySpace.com (may be your best bet). And word of mouth. Keep asking anyone if they know musicians/vocalists or may even be themselves. Just keep making contacts and stay true to your vision. Don't be scared to collaborate (I think you are looking to do just that, though!).
