I think it's an eyelash but I've looked under the lids and there's nothing there! My eye's been killing me for like three hours >_<

Oooh, thanks everyone! It was my bottom lash, bent over under my lid! God it stung but it feels a lot better now, it slightly feels like there's something still in there but there's not, I think I just scratched the eye like someone said.

Well now I've wiped half my makeup off hehe! Nevermind. I'll remember about that eyebath though, I have the longest eyelashes in the world and this happens all the time.

you probably have an eyelash poking into your eye. this happens to me like everyday! check along your eyelash line and see if any are poking down.

I love taking eyelashes out.

i'd have jumped at the chance to help.

isn't there somebody nice to have a look?

don't panic!
don't use a vacuum cleaner!
don't rub it too much.
i agree with the rinse out with nice body temp water.
if it persists it could be an infection of some sort.

u would have to see ur gp if it goes on too long. or trip to a&e.

i hope it doesn't.

rinse with water!
Go to the bathroom and cup your hand under running water and look into it(dunk eye in the water). open your eye wide and look in all sorts of directions. It's better if water is slightly! warm. the moving water should remove the irritant. Good luck!

cover the affected eye with one hand and blink the other eye rapidly....more difficult than it sounds. .this has always worked for me.it seem to cause the affected eye to water and for the muscles round it to contract very slightly
it may already be out but has scratched the retina slightly, it will heal itself quite quickly

Go to the chemist and buy an Optrex Eye Bath and rinse it out. Good luck.

Use an eyebath such as Optrex, DO NOT USE TAP WATER! If that fails then a trip to A&E in case you have damaged the retina. Whatever you do, don't rub it.

give it a wash out with warm water, from an egg cup, see how it is , then pull your top lid down over your bottom lid, that helps sometimes, hope you are ok.

if you cant see anything it may be that what was in there has come out and you have scratched your eye if you' rubbed it before it came out. you could phone your doctor before going to A&E.
