What do you want to know?
For a start the Philippines is made up of 7,107 islands called the Philippine Archipelago.
The islands are commonly divided into three island groups: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The busy port of Manila, on Luzon, is the national capital and second largest city after its suburb Quezon City.
Also because it lies on the Pacific 'Ring of Fire' there are many active volcanoes Mount Pinatubo being the most famous (or infamous) and also a lot of seismic activity with the Philippines experience up to 20 earthquakes a day, of course these are so weak that they are never felt. The last great earthquake was the 1990 Luzon earthquake.
The country also lies within the typhoon belt of the Western Pacific and about 19 typhoons strike per year
The longest river is the Cagayan River of northern Luzon
