I took the ept digital home pregnancy test and it told me I was pregnant. Twenty-four hours later I went to the doctor to get a blood test done and it came out negative. So I went and got a cheap pregnancy test and it also came out negative. For 24-hours I thought I was going to have another baby which was kind of a shock but I was getting used to the idea. Now I'm not pregnant and it's kind of a relief but kind of sad too. What would have made a false positive?! I've heard of false negatives but not false positives!

A chemical pregnancy will give you a false positive...this is when there is fertilization but not implantation. It happens to 1 in every 10 women...

I've never heard of a false positive but i would go back to my doctor and ask for the blood test to be repeated
i have had a negative test before and and a positive blood test and went on to have a beautiful son but if unsure go back to your GP you may also want to ask for a referral to a gynecologist it dosent hurt to have a thorough check up good luck
