My lips on my right hand side of my mouth keep going numb, and I keep feeling really panicky and low and bursting into tears unneccessarily.I have recently been under quite a bit of pressure at work and at home. Could this be related?

It could be a symptom of stress but it could be a number of other things. Safer to make an appointment with your GP.

Yes - the numbness could be bells palsy which can be stress related. It can be caused by a lack of the B vitamins which can also effect mood. Stress knocks vitamins out of us all the time and it sounds like your poor body's gotten a beating recently - i suggest you go to the doctor in case it's anything more serious, but definitely start taking B complex vitamin tablets and maybe up your intake of B vitamin rich foods like wholegrain cereals and some dried fruits, particulary raisins and sultanas. I hope you feel better soon!

i would think so, stress is a very strange thing on the body, a little is really good for it but too much and your body just cant take it. if i were you i would go to the doctors, just to be sure. sounds like tension somewhere is blocking you and that would probably be the numbness feeling where your circulation is just not right. just go to make sure that you are ok...better to be safe than sorry!!x

The symptoms sound related. If it is the right side and it goes away, get to a doctor now and say that it appears you are having TIA's (Transient Ischaemic Attacks). You are at risk of a stroke. TIA's can be aggravated by HBP and stress.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse. You could be on the verge of Bells Palsy, which may mean that you have having a problem with your central nervous system, please get it checked out. It can also be brought about by stress
I have had this complaint myself and its not funny
