Yesterday morning we found the bathroom lightbulb on the floor, which means it either fell out or a ghost took it out. Surely if it dropped from the roof it would've smashed. It was a 2 pronged bulb which needs to be pushed into the socket and twisted....can these just drop out?

Yes, the holder may be worn or vibration from above ( if you live in a flat) and incorrect insertion may be the cause of this.
I have dropped loads of light bulbs in my time and very few have smashed, they are quite robust.
Ghosts ? I don't think so.

Are you refering to a flouresent tube? I've never heard of one that came out all by its self, land on the floor, and not break! And i've worked as a hardeware store department manager for thirty years!Believe me, i've seen, and heard it ALL! That's a first for me. I think someone else besides you, shares the bathroom, you know, the somebody else's you can't see,but can hear! That is really spookey. Have you noticed other things that have happened? If you have ,or starting to have expereances, be sure to document every thing. I don't know why, but I think that would be a good idea to.Incase you have to prove something to maybe a priest ,or something. good-luck.

no they can't just drop out. It wasn't fitted right in the first place.

They are quite robust, nothing to say it should break by dropping 8 feet.

Maybe the metal surround that holds the bulb has splayed out ?
