Never use dishsoap on car paint. It's for dishes, it will strip all the wax off and could damage the paint. Wash with car soap and use a very soft and CLEAN wash mitt. ( I throw my in the washing machine often). Use a good car wax. and wax three to four times a year.

Regular washing and waxing. Any high-quality auto detergent and wax will work fine. If it's a clear-coat finish, do NOT use abrasive cleaning or polishing compounds; they will quickly ruin the finish permanently.
