i would say the former GERMANY coach, Juergen Klinsmann. before the 2006 FIFA World Cup begins, he was given a momumental task of glory for the national team. during the preparations for the World Cup, the team had not performed well in friendlies particularly, the defeat to ITALY 4-1 back in March 2006.

the whole nation was behind him throughout the entire tournament & although they lost to the eventual champions, ITALY in the semi-finals, Klinsmann did a good job, steering the host nation to 3rd place.

Defenitely Juergen Klinsmann.

Why? Before the WC started, the world though Klinsi have no experience in managing national team. German people keep questioning his policies in squad selection especially the dualism of Ollie Kahn and Jens Lehmann.

The temperature kept heated up till the final round started. Klinsi with his young team continued to score goals and won the games and at the same time they could keep clean sheet. It's all because Klinsi changed every old Germanish perspectives of old players, brought American physical instructurs and trusting his young squad.

He was a great player and also a great manager not all player can do the same.

I am not going for Lippi because Italy were a balnced side and needed just a push, my coach would be Guus Hiddink, see how Australia bet Japan and nearly stopped Italy from entering the last 8.

LIPPI
KLINSMANN (did you see his reactions when Germany missed a chance or scored a goal? That guy is really expressive and he seems like a very down to earth coach)
French coach - forget the name...also very good

guus hiddink!!! he was named the best coach in the world. he was famous for helping korea reach semifinal of world cup 2002 and australia had good results this year. when he coached australia, his team beat solomon islands 7-0 and jamaica 5-0. he even helped the socceroos beat uruguay to qualify for this year's world cup. since he's becoming one of the best coaches in the world, the other soccer assocations want to hire him. even the soccer coaches in brazil admire him. hiddink is a very strong and very aggressive coach. he even helped australia beat japan on the world cup and led them to the round of 16. even though the socceroos could have defeated italy and could have gone to the quarterfinal, he is still one of the best coaches in the world.

I have two. Only my opinion, but I think Scolari and Hiddink did extremely good jobs as they both took there sides above the expectations of most pundits and pushed them to results they were not expected to achieve and taught them to believe in themselves.
