I've always loved Washington, D.C. Very cosmopolitan, but small and managable, great transportation system. Wherever you're from in the world, there are people from the same place, and the same restaurants, so you're not lonely. The weather is mild, with four seasons, too. Just wonderful overall.

Well, I liked Miami and Manhattan, both are expensive, both you can find everything from around the world, the weather is better in Miami.
Phoenix, AZ is also nice, but it gets hot in summer
