Algae is naturally occuring in the air..(spores are everywhere!!)...

Leave stagnant water, or even flowing water with trace nutrients of potassium or nitrogen and that will feed the algae...

Sunlight is a requirement. After that, you will have an abundance of algae that will clog up your pond and fish aquarium...

For the aquarium, just over feed the fish, and the algae will have "food" to work on. Let the water go stagnant, or, dont clean the filter and you will find that they will grow on the side of the glass... (keep the snails out, or they will clean the algae out of it)...

Oh, the algae makes the place stink!!! Especially at night, when it dies and there is no light, then it takes the oxygen from the water and the fish suffer from oxygen deprivation...

I wish you well..

No, do no longer positioned an algae coated rock into the tank... No telling what parasites it ought to usher in. First, you should under no circumstances introduce an algae eater till AFTER the tank has been set up for awhile and algae has had time to advance. to promote algae enhance, keep your tank someplace the position you are able to enable organic sunlight in. you have to be supplimenting their nutrition routine with algae wafers if their isn't adequate algae enhance. also, what type of algae eater? maximum are very innapropriate for a 10 gallon tank. even if it really is a straightforward pleco (black, humorous lookin bottom feeder/maximum frequently got here upon), you want to take it again immediately! They advance as a lot as a foot and a 1/2, and want 100 gallon tanks! even if it really is a chinese language algae eater (commonly bought/ golden in colour w/ black marks alongside again, and a huge sucking mouth), you want to go back it asap! those men get up a 11 inches lengthy, and grow to be steadily extra aggressive and territorial with age! surely, they are going to provide up eating algae, and initiate eating purely processed guy-made ingredients like algae wafers, and fish slime coat! definite! in the previous lengthy, they initiate to flow after fish! once connected, they could easily rip of scales and reason harm! the proper cleanup crew for a 10 gallon tank is a collection of amano shrimp!

Algae needs light, sunshine for your pond and warm temperatures. Koi and Carp will eat algae. Same for your aquarium, have the light the correct spectrum to mimic the sun light.

If there is light it will grow!

Extra food helps.

Maybe buy algae tablets to get things started but I'm not sure if that works!
