Tint

Colour wheel with shading for colour picking. In colour theory, the colour wheel is based on "pure" colours; lighter versions produced by adding white or more light are called tints. These are known as "pale" or "light" colours, as "pastel" colours or (for light tints of some reds, oranges, and yellow) as "tans".
In colour television, a tint control is an adjustment allowing image hue to be corrected (used most often in the NTSC colour television standard, due to its susceptibility to colour errors).
Window tinting is the application of a thin specially designed film to the inside of the windows of vehicle.
