Nope. In fact, I think the most successful people tend to lean in the other direction.

In secular society and in their definition of sucess absolutely yes.

you have to have a group of people whom you cant be selfish too and they will help you to succeed (e.g. family, friends). for others, sadly, you have to be selfish to.
