The folks above have some amusing answers but alas... they are somewhat wrong.

There is a measurable amount of density in the air called the "barometric pressure" which drops very low just before a rainstorm...

it's alot like opening a bottle of soda... all the fizzy pressure hisses out and then the soda goes flat...

When the barometric pressure drops our blood thickens to compensate and makes us feel sleepy, and sometimes depressed.

When the pressure goes up again, our blood thins out to compensate and we run around like happy little sunshine people.

That's a fact.

I think you mean the weather controls your moods> for some reason that happens to some of us when it is getting ready to rain i get in a gloomy mood I think because the sky and such are darker no sunshine and that makes us feel in touch with our dark side i hope life is going OK with you I read one of your comments and that sucks i feel you and am sorry for your loss if you need a friend who understands e-mail me or go to my 360 our tales aren't the exact same but the concept is there I am keeping you in my thoughts and hope that there will be sunshine in your life soon and then it stays there for life

yes, your moods control the weather. for us all. despite how the rest of us are feeling.

But on the more Sane side, perhaps your body anticipates the upcoming rain storm/ rain shower, by reacting to an increase of negative ions in the air. Water and rain are negatively charged, and with myself at least, I look forward to the rain! It perks me up, actually.

lol. i think it's perception. it only feels that way. i love the rain and the opposite happens to me. when it rains, it gets my spirits up:) I think if it rained non-stop for many days, i probably wouldn't feel this way.

Seattle has the highest rate of suicide attempts. It's also where it keeps on raining. You're down when it rains because rain is always connected to being sad, lonely, etc, while sunny is always referred to happiness.

if you lived in the UK - then you'd be down every day.

Here in sunny Singapore - you'd be happy all year round.
