Its illegal, but so long as you're not taking the mick they won't mind.

We got many acres and people help themselves. I don't mind so long as its just a bit here and there.

If you know the land owner, why not go and knock on the door and ask, we don't bite you know ?

If it was my door I'd come and help you and offer you a coffee as well.

Obviously this wouldn't apply if your name was SteveS

IT's ok to snip holly on the days where the farmer is not working. This practice is how the word Holiday came about from holly-day

i think its illegal but its one of those laws no one cares about it you just take a lil but better yet why not just ask the farmer he would be rude to say no but if he does then you go back in the middle of night and snip the part you think he wont notice gone lol

Technically theft. But people have been gathering from hedgerows for millenia, so I really don't thinkthat anyone would mind. BUT don't trespeass or cause damage, and don't leave any mess. If in doubt, smile sweetly and ask in person! Farmers are human (on the whole)

I DONT THINK THEY WOULD MIND YOU TAKING A BIT, IT IS NOT STRICTLY LEGAL. YOU COULD ALWAYS GO AND ASK THEM FOR A BIT IF YOU ARE WORRIED.
