This is a fantastic question - because I feel that many women hate being women - probably for the same reasons that I love being a woman.

I love being in my skin, and feeling the ebb and flow of my hormonal tides. I know it might sound strange - but the nature of being a woman is truly amazing. How the female physiology is made-up to carry and sustain another life really leaves me breathless sometimes.

My hormones are the key to my nature. Where you might hear women complaining of the menstrual process - I stand in awe. The fact that my environment and my diet may send messages through my hormonal system - and if I listen to what it's telling me, I learn so much about myself and the world in which I live. Some call it intuition, I call it fine-tuned body awareness - instinctual responses that we have so long been taught to ignore because they don't 'fit' into the consciousness of modern society.

I love my body and my mind. In a world that has been built to focus on primarily masculine endeavours, I love the fact that my body is excited by walking on a beach, listening to the rain, planting flowers, reading a book, painting a picture... all of these events in no way directly attributing to empire building.

I obviously have no idea what it is like to be a man, so there is no room for comparison. However I can say that I love the way I feel in my clothes too - not sure if men can say that - or if they just like to feel comfy.

As a woman I enjoy the feeling of appearing sexy by wearing different items of clothing and fulfilling that natural instinct to procreate.

Childbirth makes me awestruck. The whole process from conception to birth. The ability to give birth to my own immortality. It's immense! There are no words...

More than happy to be a woman - I love it.

WOW tough one!! if i had to point out one particular thing it would have to be, the fact that when a woman smiles (geuine smile) peoples faces light up, especially when i laugh/smile/grin at my young nephew. Being a woman is a blessing, to be strong, independent, trustworthy, generous (not that men arent!!) but most of all because i know im beautiful inside and out. Thats what makes me happy to be a woman

The unique feminine bond that can develop between women-it's especially rewarding when I have a problem that I believe to be completely assine. I breath great big sigh of relief when my friend has experienced it too and through her consoling I learn I'm not a complete freak. There is a downside, however, when that bond crumbles and/or that best friend uses your confessions against you. Such is woman.

This is going to cause an uproar I'm sure, but what I love most about being a woman is being loved, cherished and cared for by a special man. I love the consideration that he gives me and even though I can do things for myself, I love that he doesn't want me to because he wants to do them for me. I am blessed and I know it. I love having doors opened for me, my food ordered in restaurants, my arm held when walking - all of it. I love dressing well and being looked at appreciatively. I love the contrast between his hard body and my soft one. Being a woman is just (for me) very comfortable.

I love the versatility. I can be glamorous and ultra feminine or I can be athletic and a complete tomboy, or anything in between. I'm also not plagued with the urge to "sow wild oats" at every given opportunity. I'm just happy to be me.

i can use my face/eyes/body/smile to flirt with men - it makes a woman feel very powerful - i can also cry/laugh/dance & act silly with my girlfriends in public or in private - it doesn't matter - women are emotionally uninhibited - i can bring a baby into the world - i can fix my hair, put on make-up, put on high heels, smell pretty, be seductive, the list goes on & on...........

I feel lucky to be abled to express emotion, inspiration and opinion freely (when I feel it is appropriate).

Men are often degraded for this. It's not fair, not to mention unhealthy.
