Just wondering what the general population think about this topic in the UK. I'm from North America and my wonderful partner is from Europe, so we are curious to find out what people's perceptions are in the UK, where we are living . We don't have children, but we are considering it for the future. Serious answers would be appreciated. Thanks!

As long as they are decent people, let them. I have a couple of on-line lesbian friends from the UK and one of them has been over here several times and is a truly wonderful person. A persons sexual orientation has nothing to do with whether or not they are going to be a good parent. I have 4 boys and believe me there is no magic pill that you take to become a parent. It's all hard won experience that you get by learning from your little mistakes. And hopefully you had a few older mentors around to help you out. Hope you two can become parents in the future. They are a pain at times, but they are a wonderful pain. Good Luck

In my opinion as long as the child is brought up in a loving caring environment, taught respect for self and others, then it does not matter to me if the child is brought up by two men, women etc. When I had my first child it scared the hell out of me, we didn't know what to do. It comes naturally, after a while. Lead by example!! Sounds to me that you would make great parents, hope you get what you want.

back, they are not a gay couple. I have a particular sympathy with them, even with the actual shown truth that i imagine they're way extreme. i ought to are conscious of it in the journey that they only allowed the youngster to ensure for himself yet to talk it with the youngster defeats the purpose. it ought to were exciting to allow the youngster to ensure, without talk. they're making a fact and that i do not imagine the publicity is sweet for the youngster. It only exposes all of them to ridicule. that is a pity, because as I suggested, I have some sympathy with it. i did not enable my sons to play with guns - it replaced into by no skill an difficulty, they only weren't given guns. And one joined the military. only is going to tutor. As mom and father we do what we imagine is optimum and this is not continuously the most excellent component to do. Being a determine doesn't advise you're smart.

being gay no longer carries the stigma of ignorance. I think everyone should have the right to choose what they do (freedom of speech and choice). Whether you choose to receive a child through sperm donation or adopt I am sure you will make excellent parents and i wish you well for the future

Why shouldn't they? not every straight couple makes a good parent, Single people ,gay people, it makes a lot of different people to make the world turn .I don't think that it lesbians raising children is any different to a straight couple .It's peoples upbringing that counts not what type of parents they have.

I have no problem with it whatsoever, as long as the child is in a loving and stable home with loving parents then I see no problem, be happy and good luck for your future together.

Don't see a problem in it. Single mums raise kids here, so what is the difference. If a chld if from any loving, stable family then there is no problem.
