Time is a great healer mate, you will go through every emotion in the book........and you have to let yourself do this, it's sort of like a grieving process.......but you will get through it.

I can only say good luck. x

What are your alternatives? You love this person with everything you have; you want them to be happy. If you deny them & yourself this one act of selflessness you would end up hating not only you but perhaps the very person you love if you force them to stay in a situation they don't really want to be in right now.
I know it sounds like a cliché & it is but time is the only thing that ever separates us from what we're feeling during any particular event in our lives. Nothing anyone says or does can make you feel better or more able to cope. Time I’m afraid is all you have.

It has to be the hardest thing for anyone that is madly in love with another to be big enough to be able to let them go & live their lives away from them. I really feel for you right now. I've never been in that situation but I have been the one that wanted my freedom. All I can say is...Let them go, allow them their own choices, they will love you for that. Who knows what the future holds...
I wish you well. If you can do this you are truly one of life’s diamonds.

I am 48 years old. In all the decisions I have ever made there have been two criteria to meet - do what's right and do what's best. Only once has there been a situation where doing what was right and doing what was best were different things. Its so hard to make that decision. I chose to let mine go, and I don't regret it.

Think the key here is actually accepting that you don't have to 'do the right thing for everyone' what needs to be done is what is right for you. That does not mean you don't care, it just means you can care better by looking after yourself first and foremost.

It's a hard thing to cope with. If you have a good and understanding friend then use them as a sounding board.

Very hard but u have to be true to yourself for ur own sanity. My two rules are never cause harm to myself or anyone else.

Honesty prevails!!!!!!!!!
If u love someone sometimes u have to let them go.

Weigh up the positives and negetives and see if your life will be stagnant or move forward with or without the person. And yeah, love hurts but you will get over it with time.

these things happen for a reason....losing someone is like dealing with grief...you just have to knuckle down and move on....time is a great healer....and life goes on....in order to deal with it, you have to be strong inside and get on with life as it is...maybe change things along the way

You let them go and focus on something you need to do. Like work or study. You'll get over it.
