Outsourcing has been hot, but it's about to end. Companies are quickly realizing that they are not getting there money's worth. 12 Indians for 1 American are not equal. That would be true of physical labor, but not of knowledge.
If you are concerned about outsourcing to india hurting you, take the trainging and beef up your skills. I work with india every day and get extra pay for babysitting.
If you are trying to get outsourced yourself, it's not too late to catch the tail end of the trend, but it won't last long.

if you feel like Information Technology is your thing. GO FOR IT! if you like don't think twice! never thing too much on the things you like, just go for them.
