It sounds strange but its true. A woman's wrist watch and you see the small dial compared to what men have- big dials

Women prefer their watches to look like jewels than like watches so the dials are small to make it look like a bracelet or some jewel.

Men are Brazen, Bigger is better rugh, rugh, rugh.
Women are modest. Smaller, demure, elegant.
Early 1900's stereotypes I know, but that's when wrist watches were first mass marketed. The market still reflects the old values.

because women have more delicate wrists than men, and generally don't use the watch so hard, so the internal workings don't have to be as sturdy.

working at alot of clothing stores ive had a little to much time to think about this. basicly its in proportion to th watch and th watch is always thiner because it seems more delicate no girl wants to walk around with a big old fatty watch like a guy does. they worry to much about how it would look on them. i mean wouldnt you if your arms looked like stickes dragging holla hoops around
