Congratulations, It is common to be able to tell the gender of your baby after 18 weeks as long as the baby is in a good position, you should always be prepared for it to go the other way as its only a 50/50 chance they are correct. I have been told I am having a girl, but I have carried both a boy and a girl and it feels more like a boy to me, so I will just have to wait and see, my sister in-law was also told she would have a boy and her daughter is now 2, there is always room for error.
I have looked up a sight that shows ultrasounds of both genders so maybe you should check it out:
http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/ultrasound/l/blusq1q1.htm
It is a quiz, to see what you think the ultrasound is, its easy and very good view of the sex, if it looks the same as your ultrasound then its a good chance you should know the sex. I hope its informative.
Good luck and best wishes.

Well the heart rate sounds perfect from my understanding its within the right range for the stage you are at in your pregnancy.
As far as the sex of the baby goes, I know my baby is definitely a boy (the doctor showed me where his penis and testicles are, just to avoid any confusion!) however I do know that sometimes girls can be confused for boys, right up until they are born. If you're sure its a girl thats great, but if your unsure I recommend buying generic clothing that can be used for both sexes, so you don't spend money on things you won't need. (Just in case!)
Unfortunately I am not sure what your question was in particular, but I hope I have been able to help!

its a girl as long as they got a good shot between the legs it dont really matter how the baby is laying and you cant always go by the heart beat i am 32 wks pregnant with a girl and my babies heart beat is 135 bpm. my little girl who is 2 now when i was pregnant with her her heart beat was 145. but my oldest so who is 7 his heart beat was 165. but like i said if you got a good clear shot between the legs its a girl and there are 3 lines lol thats a boy. girls have 3 lines or something that looks kind of like a hamburger . so your having you a girl thats what i was told on my ultra sounds and so far mine have been right, i got one boy and a girl and am expecting my 3rd.

when we went the er for the first time, cause i hadn't been in to see a doctor yet, I was 7 months preggo, all we heard was the heartbeat and assumed it was a little boy.
To our suprise it was a little girl.
So lesson learned here: don't believe all the wives tales. My daughter had a high heart rate right up until she was born.

They usually say it looks like a girl or it looks like a boy because it is hard to be sure. I know of two cases where the scan said a girl and it was a boy. Heartbeat is usually slower for girls than boys.
