No. It is simply another example of the toadies in the media once again bowing down before the idols of Political Correctness.

Yep it is being done to provoke a reaction. It is one of the only times of the year when Channel 4 startsn actually fulfilling its remit (the reason it is allowed to broadcast) which is to provide thought provoking programming ie ones that create a reaction. It would be a "toady" thing to do if it didn't do this and just showed the mainstream nonsense that fills its schedule 364 days a year. But also this is an "alternative" Christmas message - think about that word - it is not to reflect what is already well known and well catered for but to allow people to consider different aspects, differnet cultures, different viewpoints...good on them - and that takes a lot for me to give them praise these days

But is that not Channel 4 for you - will always represent the other side of the argument...Radio 2's own 'Mrs. Thatcher', Sarah Kennedy thought it would be good to wind up her alleged socio-economic ABC1 homo sapien who she thinks listens to her early morning programme by mentioning it.
But I suspect the ones who do the most screaming will secretly tape the Channel 4 'speech'. That old chestnut 'Well...you don't have to watch' doesn't apply to the many hypocrites of the UK.
Seems like the death of the ex-spy in London has run it's course...the media had turned it into a sexy circus (and with a new James Bond film in the house...sorted!), but now it has become musty and 'boring'. Back to the mad mullahs and 'faceless lasses'. It didn't take too long!

Why on earth has Channel 4 consented to allow this to happen,
There should be a separate Channel for Asian and foreign programmes.
We would not be allowed to do just what we wanted in their Countries.
This P C has gone completely out of control, perhaps we all need to Stand up to this Government and have a Protest March in London.

I have already done this one. But, for the record, it stinks. However, what can you do when you have a bunch of unpatriotic lefty smart Alec's, probably smart Alice's, actually, in charge.

It reminds me of my friend who is a teacher. A couple of years ago her school invited a rabbi in and all he did was talk about Jews. His ending prayer was "please remember the Jews who don't celebrate Christmas,"
Helloooo - Christmas isn't about Jews, it isn't about veiled women, it isn't about Muslims, it isn't about Palestine - give us a break from it all! I'm not terribly religious but I'd like to concentrate on my own culture for once.
I won't be watching. I think it is provocative and purposefully offensive to Christians.
