I'm not looking for Wikipedia or other website cut-and-pastes; I've already read the article through and I still need help. I don't understand what the concept means or what it refers to politically in our system of government (or society in general). Where are bureaucracies established and who establishes them? Who's involved? A simple as you can make it...WHAT IS A BUREAUCRACY?

Please be as detailed as you can! Thanks.

It's job security. Make a whole lot of rules that don't make sense and make more rules that nobody understands and tax citizens to death. If you can get through the red tape you have succeeded in being a bureaucrat.

All three branches of government, the states, cities, courts and counties are bureaucratic. Have you ever tried to have the street fixed on your block or have a stoplight installed? That process can take months or years, because they have to go through certain procedures and they make simple things complicated.

It is the term for the "administrative" side of the government, they put into action what the government has mandated.
Bureaucracies are headed by people who are sometimes appointed by political leaders such as the president, others aren't. At least that is how I understand it...

I wanted marry the lady that loves me, $ for the Lisence,$ for the blood tests,$ for the Offic er of the Court, $ for the Official Attendants, $ for the Regitrar, Taxes after we are Married. such is bureacracy.
I am a Disabled American , I went to UK, I stayed with a very nice lady, I returned and I owed the Goverment because I recieved my Disability Payment while not in USA. Did God or Goddes or Doctor heal me in UK, no. But apparently I am only Disabled if I am inside the borders of the US, if I leave the borders, I am not healed, but I amnot allowed to recieve the Tax Moneies I paid in IF I bcame disabled, wich I did.
That is Goverment bureacracy at its finest.
