What makes you think China ISN'T a superpower already....

All these people who say no, just dont see the big picture internationally...

China IS a sleeping giant of a country... we have very limited knowledge of them...

But what we can say for sure is this...

They have the world largest population for a country (1 billion) they are important steel from ALL OVER the world forcing prices up for all the construction they are doing over there, they're economy is getting stronger (rather than america's who is in a bad recession) and with their communist 'government' they can be very ruthless.

Mark my words... if another world war ever breaks out... the side China picks will be the winner.

possibly. however, there is still this rich/poor divide taking place in that country and plus, its human rights record is far from perfect. that needs to be addressed as well, if china is to compete against the likes of the US for example. just goes to show that despite its economic power and the ever growing population escalating to billions, china has its problems just as any other nation on the planet.

Nostradamus.... and the little yellow men (no racism intended!) shall rule the earth...
They are already a superpower in terms of number of people, size of armed forces and nuclear missiles etc. Economically they are growing at a rate that will surpass the manufacturing output of the western countries like the US within 10 years.. So.
Future leaders.... depends upon how you define leadership...
