What is it that most convinced you? Was it the product? The way the person described it? Did u just like the salesman/woman? What do u think is the most important aspect of "selling"?

No, never, I guess the most important aspect is exactly that the salesperson is not trying to force you, and be shown as a friend

I am a saleswoman.
You need an "open" personality and a good product.
You may be able to make the sell with one or the other but a great salesperson has both.

By the way, personality needs to be everchanging depending on the customer. This can be very tough for people in sales.

Many times. However, I was looking to buy that product, it was not unexpected. What I liked in each occasion was how they conducted themselves in a professional, respectful way. Otherwise, I would have waited to buy elsewhere. I hate pushy salespeople that won't take no for an answer. Being invited, and informed of how the quality of the product is good, is a good way to get my interest.

No. I always hang up or state I am not interested. I had a crazy friend who gave a donation to a door to door salesman once. He lied about his name and wrote over their 10 dollar check to make it state 100. I call her crazy because he told her his name was Clemson Cockfield and he was trying to raise money by selling magazines to go to college. Ever heard of the Clemson Tigers and the Carolina Gamecocks?

Yes - I'm an easy target. Salesman can smell me from the door. As I'm a shopaholic don't need much convincing.

Yes, I bought into network marketing of services and it was the person's passion and experience with the product that stood out. I did like the salesperson and had known them for a while, but it was my trust and confidence in the person that made their testimonial credible. I bought into credibility.

I have bought lots from door to door salespeople. They are friendlier and have way more knowledge than a store person does, and they are not as ruude, and there are no lines for it. I have bought a vacum cleaner, a roof, siding, and various things for schools from the neighbor kids. It is there personality for me that decides whether I buy it or not.

I buy because you have what I need at what I think is a fair price. You don't have to entertain me - don't give me any trick deals - be sure you have a constant supply - and if you can't give me the best price go away and send the guy who can.

Buy this or die within a few years. A box of condoms. You'll feel so much more protected and relaxed. Do you really need to buy it?
