I am a honda tech here in calli (chico). Honda recommends chevron feul. I dont know why but apparently it is more efficient in thier motors. Honestly though, gas here is very regulated, its basically the same chemical at every station. If you are having a driveability issue its most likely not the gas. also the 99 crv has comuter controlled timing and is capable of detecting detonation. It will advance the timing for more performance with higher octane fuels (as they are less volitile). but it is capable of using all three grades.

100 octane racing fuel, because that's the only way your CRV has a chance of keeping up any halfway decent American car.

i know that up here in canada, and our cold weather, shell has the best quality fuels on the market. and don't forget, there is nothing wrong with the occational octane booster, and injector cleaning formulas from tank too tank.

Shell

In my opinion, they are all the same, just go for the price, but I really prefer Shell.
