i need to find some safety glasses that are comfortable and light. the thing is that i have perfect vision, so i need to find some that look like reading glasses but without the expensive lenses. my work supplies heavy, uncomfotable glasses that don't fit right.

i'm actually looking for something more life long. not disposable glasses. basically like a reading glass that actually doesnt improve my already 20/20 vision.

Try Sams Club, My hubby also has to wear saftey glasses & they supply him w/ the big elastic things. He found some he loves at Sams Club they look like Ray Bans, you get 12 pair for 24 dollars. They last along time...so he sells the other guys some of the extras too, at $2 a pair

I have but it's not the best solution. I would strongly suggest you ask your ophthalmologist if they would consider the materials and design/coverage to be proper for safety. The other factor is how they sit on your face a lot of shooting glasses are set to fit differently so that your eyes get the maximum protection when you have the weapon and your head in a firing position. Just remember $2-300 for glasses is cheaper then even a emergency room visit for just checking them. Plus you don't end up w/o your daily glasses if something does happen. I've seen with my own eyes that if you have any kind of catastrophic failure the glasses will likely be pitted so bad they are almost useless.

Try Frames Direct. They have several different brands. Below is a link to a page featuring some of their top sellers, but cruise their Eyeglasses section for additional choices or simply search for "safety glasses" in their search box.

From an eye doctor, even without prescription, or maybe a place where they sell tools like Harbor Freight.

If you can use a generic reading lens, use something like a drug store. If you need something more precise, go to an optomitrist.
