Hello, I'm Peter, 19 years old, from New Zealand. I was thinking of doing a trip to India from March-June but none of my mates are keen. I still want to go on my own but not sure if it's a good idea. Anyone with experience who can give advice?
Help appreciated
Love

Peter

Hey Peter,
Never let having no one to travel with stop you from a trip. I have always set off alone (since in my early twenties, I am a woman) ... everytime with a one way ticket. A traveller is never alone for long (unless they want to be) ... and one of the best parts of a trip is who you meet along the way!
Just Go --- And remember, "Travel is not reward for working ... it's education for living."

Peter I am from India. Plenty of young boys and girls do visit India with a back pack every year in 2s or 3s. Perhaps they get together while landing in India. They keep a guide and go about the tourist places. They use the local buses or trains for their travel.

When you land in New Delhi/Mumbai/Chennai/Kolkatta etc. please contact New Zealand High Commission or the respective Consulate and put a word down there and collect their phone numbers in case of necessity.

Just go ahead and do it. You are welcome to our country. If you need any other information, please send me a message.

Hey Peter.
Good decision.
Main advantage is that they understand english in most cities n large towns.
Crack it alone its pretty safe.
march -june is hot season man so drink lots of safe water.
Have a ball.
Dont roam around drunk in public and stay away from people who behave too friendlily, they might just take away things seeing you as a foreigner.
Have a great time
