I have this friend and i must say i consider him one of my closest friend since childhood.. we've been sharing memories for nine years.. But the problem is this, It is only me who is able to stand his attitude.. He likes to talk and he doesn't know that the people he talks to(except me) seems so irritated.. They say, he's full of air, he has no manners, he always provoke people, and he feels even better after he hurts your emotions... But he is soft-hearted, he pretends to be tough.. Only i know that attitude he possess...

You and him just might have a good connection with eachother. I understand the feeling of havin a friend that no one likes. They just don't understand him or won't even try to understand him. It seems like you posses something he likes about you, and he posseses something you like about him. I have friends that are totally opposite of me, and sometimes it works out. There are qualities probably that you admire and vice versa. Who cares what people think. As long as you know who you are, and as long as your friends do not hurt you in any way. They say opposites attract. It could hold true. For example, I'm very laid back, while I have a good friend who is aggressive and hot-tempered. I guess he likes hanging out with me, because I calm him down. I like hanging out with because I would like to be more out going.

If you like him and know him better than some people do then just continue being his friend. If anyone says anything to you about him just say, "I know him better than you do, and he's a good friend. I'm not the person you should be making those comments to."

How he behaves around others and whether they like him is his problem. All you need to do is continue to be his friend, don't expect people who don't like him to like him, and don't listen to negative talk about him.

If you feel like it and have the chance you could at one time or another mention to other people that he is different with you than he is around people he's not as close to, and you think that's kind of too bad that they don't know how he really can be sometimes.

Your question is? You sound very nice to be his friend but you are the only one he isn't being phony with. He is extremely insecure that is why he puts up a front, if that is what you need. He is afraid that others will not accept him for the way he is. Is it you that you are describing?

Well, he is darn lucky he has you for a friend. He may run out of friends very soon if he doesn't clean up his act.
