Yes and if you have kids together it is probably good that you can talk or even be together at times so that the kids have some special family moments even if that family doesn't all live together anymore. But it takes time and both you and your ex will have to move past what ever feeling may have been present after you split up.

I don't think so. After a relationship, like marriage, especially if there was no kids, there's hardly a reason to keep talking to one another even if you share alot in common like places you go or friends. The situation makes me feels akward and sad, thinking about the past and how things used to be around them, and how they are now makes the situation unattenable. It's like running into a friend you had a falling-out with years later. What do you say to them? Even if you try to put it behind you, the past is still there.

Yes, It is possible, However, The best way to do it is wait awhile before the two of you hang out and don't start doing it all the time.
Once in awile is good, Until you are both in new relationships, Then go ahead, You've moved on and accepted the break-up...

It sure is. My ex and I talk to each other on the computer quite a bit and even though she is remarried we are on very friendly terms. We talk about the good old days and stuff so yeah it is definitely possible.

I know lots of people who are friends with their ex's. The only thing is, both people have to be grown ups. If one of you isn't, it probably won't work.

No, from my previous experience, I would have to say no. The old feelings always surfaces and causes huge problems for everyone. This is not a good idea.

It depends on your ex, if they were normal people, then yes.
But if they abusive then NO, they wont stop, even long after the relationship is over.

..i think nope!...because if you're the one being hurt after that split and you'll make friend with your ex then, you'll just trying to open the scar in your heart once more...
