I was assaulted a few months ago (a guy stole a kiss from me without my permission). This morning, he pulled a knife on me to get back a stuffed animal that was not his, nor had anything to do with him. My family intends to prosecute. How do I cope with the fear that he could kill me?

When your family does prosecute, and it is not just an idle thought, then the judge WILL sentence him to some therapy.
HE will realize that the police, the court, and therapists are watching him. He will have the attention he needs.
Go on with your life. This happens to 999 women a day, and only 1 is subjected to continuing harrassment.
DO PROSECUTE, DO make him fear the Law will deal with him.
And you, relax... talk about it to a therapist yourself.
good luck, miss.......Trevor

When you report the incident to the policy, you need to let them know that you fear this person and get advice from them on how you deal with this situation. They are the experts and should have some responses for you that are appropriate for the type of town you live in, etc.
