I want to become a lingerie and/or swimsuit model. What do i have to do to start my career?

I want to become a lingerie model, but i am not sure how to start. I know i have to find a legitimate agency, but HOW DO I FIND ONE? Does anyone know any good ones in the LA area, that I can try out? I also need a portfolio, how do I start one?

Absolutely not. You say he is older, so I dont know if that is 25 or 50 or in between and that may make a difference. I lost all jealousy by the time I was 30. It would certainly not be degrading your body and it shows that you have initiative to straighten out your affairs. Truthfully, if he has an issue with it, you may want to get out of the relationship as that would be somewhat controlling. Finally, a bartender, that doubles as a lingerie model would be the absolute perfect catch if you can throw in that your a baseball fan too:) I just saw the other answers, and was thinking, I cannot think of a man that would not walk around bragging about his bartender / lingerie model gf / wife..I would telling people behind me in line at a supermarket:)

First off, be very cautions. 99% of the time any one who seeks you out for a job is not a legitimate agency. Secondly, NEVER pay them for their service. If they require any money to join they are most likely fraudulent.
Find out who else they have signed to their list of models. If you haven't heard of them then they are not going to help you get big.
You have to take big steps to get to the top, but that doesn't mean selling out. You may have to move to a city that supports modeling as an industry (New York or L.A.), and you will have to have what it takes.
You may want to have some pics taken (by a trustworthy photographer) and get a book put together to take on go sees.
Watch America's Next Top Model and do some research on the internet.

First I suggest that you take some top quality photos of yourself with lingerie and swimsuits on. Then put them all together in your portfolio. Then you can submit them to the new faces modeling website as an amatuer model in the categories you mentioned. Good luck !

apply to a legitimate modeling agency first and then if they find you a good lingerie model, then it is your time to shine
what country are you from? check for legitimate agencies on the web ok be careful

you have to have a perfect figure first...... then height and then just be a model...look for an agent.... then be a model....
