who has the world's oldest royal family? cant seem to find it out by searching so was wondering if anyone knows?

You have to remember alot of Royal families were disolved. The family line is still there with no power though. Almost every country has this. Here in Germany there are still people that live in castle homes but have no politaical or significant power like in Bavaria.Now if you are talking about ones that have titles or have a role. England, Japan, Luxumbourg, Saudi, Kuwait, just read the link for more info.

So your question is hard Do you count the ones that are still around or the ones that are around but don't have power?
