You use layers...mask or halo the eyes and create a layer...go back to the background and turn down the saturation until B&W...then the eyes will stay colored in the foreground or different layer...this is just the easy steps...if you want more..email me.

is really simple, just need to use a graphic program (panit shop or photoshop would work great) :

1* select the eyes (usally there is a laze)
2* invert selection
3* there should be an option like: color >> gray scale

on corel u should be able to do the same, just the name changes

with Photoshop is easy..

select eyes area

invert selection

image > adjusment > channel mixer > (check the monochrom box)

deselect

voila! it's done!

sorry, never use corel paint shop pro x, i know how to do it by corel draw 12 though

Can't you just grab the eyes off picture #1, save 'em on another pic #2, turn #1 to B/W, then copy the eyes again from #2 and paste them back onto #1?

I would just turn whole thing black and white and copy colored eyes with 'softedge' or 'anti-alising' and paste it on top of black and white photo. Or just select the eyes in black and white photo and adjust hue, saturation and other colorization.
