If your lease agreement is expiring, the landlord does have the option to terminate the lease agreement and not offer a renewal. I would check your lease agreement for specific words on that.

No offense, but just because you have housing assistance and have a child doesn't really mean anything when it comes to renting. I don't think your landlord has anything against you, they just may be tired of all the paperwork involved with the rental assistance.

It is not the landlord's job to be anyone's friend. Property management is a business. We have to do what we have to do to make our own living and we cannot allow personal feelings to get in the way. How much notice did they give you? You might want to check around in your lease or with the housing authority and find out just how much notice your landlord has to give. That might be your only leverage.

Good luck!

I have stored rabbits outside for years in a wood lawn shed. I have had rabbits are living for nine years within the stipulations i've offered. The within partitions of the shed are included with bubble wrap within the iciness which stabilises the temperature so it does no longer pass slash than five levels. The ground is lino-ed and there may be an inside mesh door on my shed in which the higher part additionally has bubble wrap as warmth rises. My rabbits are allowed to run across the shed within the iciness in the event that they can't get out of doors pastime because of dangerous climate. The bottles under no circumstances freeze and the hutches are included with blankets at night time for further relief. You ought to no longer preserve your rabbit out within the outside within the iciness. It isn't the rain that may kill the rabbit however the exact air being bloodless. If a bottle has to have a bottle hotter over it due to the fact it freezes then the discipline for the rabbit is usually too bloodless within the first situation. It is apparent natural experience.

Go to the agency which is providing the apartment assistance and explain the situation to them. They may have more influence in convincing the landlord that his/her refusal to allow you to sign a new lease could be more detrimental to them economically than they had envisioned.

No they cannot make you leave with a child. Just like they can't turn your heat off. If anything get a lawyer friend to dispute this.
