I have lived at the same apartment for many years, not a drug dealer, dont throw partys, not loud, pay my rent ( am on section 8 rental assistance, so ive never really been late) a few times but always paid my $35 late fee and ALWAYS with in the first week of bein late..... my landlord clearly dosent like me, PERIOD, i have one son he's 8 and jsut myself, I can not find a new apartment, ive been searching since October.. and now december 31st is very near.... someone said that since i have housing and the apartment i live in is based on ur income, i should be able to ride this out and not have to leave.... im to afraid to say anything to the landlord, shes mean and evil to me, tried looking for things on the net all i fould was this.....

Technically, you're not being evicted. It's just the end of the lease. The month that the lease ends in doesn't matter.
Your best bet is to call the housing department (probably H.U.D.) who subsidizes your rental payment. You may have other rights as a Section 8 tenant, or they may be able to negotiate an extension.
I've owned and managed properties for years and Section 8 status didn't make any difference when the lease was up.

In most larger cities I do not believe that you can be evicted in middle of winter. But am sure there are certain circumstances that will allow it. It might be best for you to contact your housing authority or even consult legal aid for counsel on this matter. It may be that your lease is up and landlord does not want to renew for whatever reason. Would think that a month by month extension would be in order. Giving you time to find other accommodations. You can't get "kicked out" anyway.......you have to be evicted (and that is not a short process). Once you establish residency somewhere.....the landlord will have to evict you. If they kick you out and change the locks you can have them arrested for unlawful lockout.

Has she actually specified that you need to be out? If so, then you should contact whatever agency helps people with section 8. Maybe contact them either way just in case. Good luck.

I would say they can kick you out. but you need to talk to section 8 rental assistance people.

In Chicago NO you cannot be evicted in the winter. but i dont know where u live.
