I'm 20 years old, good looking, and I have a nice curvy figure (not fat). The only problem is that I am short. I'm 5' 1". I think being short makes me cute, but is there a place for me in any type of modeling world? I don't mean like Victoria's Secret - just maybe like a catalog or something. Thanks.

I'm not wondering if I look good I was just wondering if anyone would want a short model.

Actually I think you could! You might not do runway, but you'd definatley be able to do print (catalogs, etc.) if you have a pretty face!! I wish you the best!!

Absolutely! You'd most likely be considered for "commercial" work, meaning catalogues and ads where they want the models to look like everyday people, your next-door neighbor, etc. They purposely don't use supermodels for these types of ads b/c "regular" people feel intimidated by them & won't buy the product. You could also be considered for local ads (furniture stores, department stores, local businesses, events, etc.) My agency has girls of all shapes & sizes in the commercial field... Look in the phone book or ask around for #'s of local agencies, if you're successful you can move up through them. Beware of scams, though. Make sure to go to a couple of agencies before signing any contracts or paying ANY money.

Yes. Find a modeling agency in the nearest city and ask them if they will represent you. Do not accept any offer, however, if they require you to take classes or pay money up front. There are all kinds of advertisers who need looks that are different from the tall, skinny girl! Good luck!

Modeling is not all it's cracked up to be, but if you really feel the need...
Unless you have a young look, it will be very difficult to even find print jobs with your height. There is always a possibility though.
Get a good zed card, and send them to legit agencies.

Elite models
and
Ford models

are the best in LA.

Well, nothing is impossible! And good luck to you.

Frankly, if I am a designer. I will design something for the real people, and use the real models (not those Babbie dolls on the catwalk).

But too bad, I am not a designer, and I don't have my own brand!
