Embrace that you might have a gift as a peacemaker, but know that you can't win them all. You can't control the emotional or irrational responses of everyone. Do the best you can do, try to live at peace with others, when you can't then try to make the best of it but it's not your responsibility to make good decisions for others, and if possible, begin learning how to bridge the gap between others. There are some good books on peacemaking, but also begin learning about the mediation process and negotiation skills. Thse are skills that will take who you are and teach you to refine yourself so that you can still be who you are, but in a positive way without guilt, and recognizing acceptable limitations.

Guilty comes from negative side of the person. It makes you feel low. It also hurts you. It stops you from growing. Better forget about the incident which made you feel guilty and decide not to repeat the same again. Then move ahead in life. Enjoy!

Not telling people the truth causes hurt because you are not being genuine and telling people what they what to hear does them no good either. Be good to yourself first and that goodness will spread to the people around you.
