i've tried some,but either the connection does not go all the way thru or they charge,is there any other option????

http://yabberchat.com is a very different free chat. No ads in the chat or anything and always seems much more friendly to me. Its not too fancy but is very easy to use.

Try www.nexopia.com. Thats a fairly popular website. Ummm.... Have you tried instant mesaging? thats live chatting. You can download windows live, yahoo and some others but you need to to set up a e-mail account (their not to hard.) Hope That helps!!

Yahoo chat is free as well as AOL instant Messanger. You can chat live on both of those :o)

"Chat "...yes Yahoo msngr....MSN msngr ....Gtalk....Skype ....and a thousand others...If you are talking phone calls..then use Skype out...or nobelcom.com for international calls....but other that that all "chat " is free
