There are 4 boys and 3 girls cuz each boy has 3 brothers and 3 sisters and each girl has 4 brothers and 2 sisters. 3 and 3 are equal and 2 is half of 4.

It's a trick question. The couple is childless, and the woman is delusional. None of the children actually exist, kind of like the college roommate and his niece in "A Beautiful Mind." 2 brothers and 1 sister. From the title we know there's one sister and many brothers but how many? It's hard to explain.
Each boy in this family: B
Has as many sisters as brothers: B+(1S+1B)
But each girl has twice as many brothers as sisters: 2B:1S
I'm assuming there's only one sister by the title and the wording of the question. I dunno. Except 3 children is not several, it's a few children...

What about two boys n one girl. So if every boy has one sister and one brother ans then the girl has two brothers and no sisters. Makes sense to me.

he will have x-1 brothers and y sisters
according to question :
x-1=y
consider one girl:
she will have y-1 sisters and x brothers
according to question:
2(y-1)=x
the two eq. lead to
x= 4
y=3
