Hi there, welcome to the club. I have trouble with it ever since I downloaded an add on. Their suggestion was to remove all Norton products prior to re-installing them and and going through the motions off getting all the updates reinstalled as well. It took me a few hours to get that done. It seemed to work, at first. Anyway. You need to switch the windows firewall off as that does not work with Norton. It has it's own firewall. It's the same with all other security software, be it spy ware, pop up blockers etc. All of these are incorporated in Norton Internet security and you shouldn't need any other. I suppose that is why they clash. Contact online technical help and you can chat to a technician. They usually quite helpful and should get you through.
Hope that helps.

If you had a previous edition of Norton security and did not remove it prior to installing the new one, that could be your problem. You may have to call up on add or remove programs in control panel and remove all norton prigrams. Make sure that IE works properly after you do and if so, reinstall Norton 2007

on norton site there is an option to check your PC from their site i suggest you unistall the 2007 run the norton off site check then reload, norton does not sit well with other programs like defender or some firewalls and anti spyware software (been there seen it done it paid the cost!) you will need to remove them too before you reload of course you could try Microsoft's new onecare its free for 90 days off there site iv switched from norton to that and not had any probs at the moment fingers crossed hope that helps thanks

Symnatec offers a free Norton Removal utility. I removed all my Norton stuff with that, reinstalled, then installed the new upgrade and things worked great after that.

you might have reinstall it and choose the recommened one if that doesn't work it would be because since it is a 2007 edition it has tracked a 2007 virus and the fire has gone to maxium it should work in a few days or weeks if it doesn't go on the website

Welcome to the "F**k Norton's, it's Shite" club. Don't go there. Use anything but Nortons. Best of luck.
