Why must it be slow. I know its sad to everyone there but its a time to rejoice for she is released from these earthly bounds. She is at peace, having a marvelous time as a matter of fact. She will watch you all as you remember her and be glad to see so many have come. Tell ya what, if you don't know what her favorite song was, pray on it tonight and see what song comes to you tomorrow. My sister let me know a long time ago that she wants "Spirit In The Sky" played at her funeral.......that is a joyous song no matter what your mood, it makes you smile. I know its an old one, but can't you hear it now.....spirit in the sky...I find it very uplifting!

Time to Say Goodbye - Andrea Broceli and Sarah Brightman
Funeral March - Chopin
Slow, classical music would be best. No rock, pop or rap. The less vocals the better.
The song Time to Say Goodbye is a very pretty song. You'll love it.

You don't mention religious affiliation of the family, but if they are Christian, I recommend "Friends" by Michael W. Smith
This website plays the music and lyrics:
http://www.angelfire.com/my/sun/Friends_Are_Forever.html
And here are the lyrics
Packing up the dreams of God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "never"
Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends.
With the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you'll live in
Is the strength that now you show
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "never"
Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends.
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends
No a lifetime's not too long to live as friends

Go Rest High by Vince Gill is an incredible song.
It's about a guy, but if someone were to sing it it could be made to be about a girl

Its sad to hear that, especially since she was a young girl. Back to your question:
Elton John-"Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", "Candle in the Wind"
The Beatles-"And I love her", "In my life"
Peter and Gordon-"I go to pieces"
311-"Amber"
Los Lonely Boys-"Heaven"

Sorry for the loss. Personally, I would use 'Let it Be' because it's more uplifting than the other two. But pick a song you think she would like.
