Gosh -- I mix them all - - blue icicle style lights from the roofline, multi-colors on the bushes that are in the garden areas, solid colors in the sculptures of wreath lights (that I made myself), and ... clear lights to frame the shape of a snowflake or star that I put on the roof itself.

I'd say, Clear, Solid and Multi or White or Green Tree.
Clear or Multi on White or Gree Tree
Solid if you just like one color.
Really, I love love love Multi-Colored Lights. Right Now I have them up right now. I think by doing Multi, It really puts you in the Christmas Spirt.

Definitely multi-colored -- creates a bit of diversity and the vibrant colors create some radical vividness on a Christmas Tree/House.

my tree is a bit different
i have blue green and pink lights on my tree and coordinating ornaments.
i like it.
my mom has a all white and gold tree.
and my dad has a multicolored tree.
everyone has different taste i guess! haha

As a newborn, I enjoyed colored lights, oftentimes eco-friendly, blue and crimson. To me, it relatively relies upon on the ability your place can extra healthful with lights. It does no longer remember which coloration the lights are, yet once you may positioned sufficient lights around your place to make it brighter then day, then your place will quite stand out.

All mini white lights! There is nothing prettier than seeing a house decorated this way. Especially with all the trees in the yard lit up. We have won many a decorating contests with the white lights.
