It was a miracle that his wife and babies were found alive. I wish to God he had stayed with them, but there is no gain in, "blaming", him now as some are, by saying he should have done this, or should have done that. He did what he thought he had to do for his family at the time. I hate to give up all hope, but I can't imagine that he has managed to survive out there this long. I only pray he fell asleep somewhere and died peacefully. Some of the other scenarios are to awful to even think about.

He is most likely alive. The temperature has warmed up (especially during the day) and he's resourceful. Latest word from the family is that he had on two pairs of pants - the one's found were used as a trail marker.

One thing people aren't talking about is how the family got lost. Living in the area and working with the EMS system (Emergency Management System) is that the GPS systems are showing the route to places through the back country and because it 'look's shorter that the highways, people are taking the road as marked. Unfortunately, these roads are very back country roads - lots of old logging roads mostly. They are narrow, have very sharp corners and are often very brushy. Frequently you find washouts and it is hard to find places to turn around and go back. And it gets very complicated when you try to backtrack - people don't know which road they took and get very lost or scared at best! And with the reductions in logging the roads are in worse shape and there are fewer vehicles driving them to find the people who are lost.
Oops- I was incorrect. Thankfully his wife and family survived, but unfortunatley, he did not.

Jeans are the worst thing to wear in the cold as they get wet and freeze stiff, and cause hypothermia if they freeze to the skin, don't know why he would have left the road unless to seek shelter, help or food. They should have stripped the seat upholstery for "clothing" plus insulation from under the car hood. He could have used gas, brake/power steering fluid or engine oil to get things like the spare tire and hoses off the engine to burn, or upholstery, and wiring insulation makes good smoke for a signal fire. Plus there should have been dry wood to burn, dead limbs, tree bark litter on the ground under evergreens, etc. and a car cigarette lighter or even short the battery. But bottom line is he shouldn't have been on those roads, he should have made sure he knew the road, had a good map, told others of his route, had food and cold winter survival gear in the car. It's also odd it sounds like they made no attempt to make signal markers to attract attention to their location or his route. Lots of odd things about it, given what is known of their actions I doubt his survival but certainly hope for the best.

he will be one lucky... if he is found alive. his pants were found this afternoon and that could be a sign of hypothermia, removal of clothes. his biggest mistake, aside from trying to take a high mountain "short cut" in a blizzard, was leaving his family...at least there was shelter...you should NEVER split up when you get lost in the woods! STAY PUT!

They also said they saw lots bear paw prints near the area is thought to be near. I hope they find him...thats such a sad story.

stacy is lifeless she drowned in a freezing lake,human beings. confident they tried to redeem her yet enable's settle for it, those final scenes have been heartbreaking as properly as kim and rex. i in my opinion think of it substitute into somebody linked to mitch. he consistently has somone lurking around. gigi did no longer scouse borrow rex, adrianna's lack of self assurance drove rex away and lower back to gigi. she lied the finished time she substitute into with rex, the subject is none of those couples understand the meaning of the be conscious believe. without your relationship is doomed.

i am very upset by the news, he was like a good friend to everyone that lsiten to his reveiws on cnet since he had helped so many of us when buying our gadgets.
he died a true hero..

he i think is alive an wondering around in the woods. he was a fool for leaving his family. the best thing he could a done was stay put. it is easier to find a group than a lone foll who keeps walking.

They just found his body in a ravine. He is dead. Closure, but not good closure. He will be missed
