I don't claim either political party since i don't believe either party is looking out for the interests of working class americans. However, I do think that the Republicans are the party looking for defeat in this war. Victory took place when Saddam's government fell. Instead of occupying Iraq, we could have handed the rebuilding process off to the U.N. or to a coalition of middle east countries and we would not be faced with the ugly situation we are faced with now. Any fool could predict the things that have taken place in Iraq since Bush decided to occupy the country. We had victory in Iraq but George Bush got greedy and now we as Americans are going to pay the price for his foolishness. Noone has done more to enbolden the terrorists than Bush himself. He did so when he told them that 19 of their radical islamic comrades changed the world on 9-11, he did so when he began acting like a communist dictator around the world and here at home, and he did so when he made the mistake of not leaving Iraq when the war was won.

Let's see, FDR handled Germany and Japan (two of the best military nations in history) at the same time, while Bush loses Afghanistan and Iraq (two of the weakest countries in the history of mankind) simultaneously.
Then, as if that is not humiliation enough, Bush gets punked to his face by North Korea, Iran, and Syria, and responds by babbling on TV like fool.
Then, when he and Chavez were both at the UN, Bush had the Secret Service peek around corners because he was afraid of running into Chavez. How pathetic is it for the President of the United States to be sneaking though hallways like some high school dork because he is afraid to face somebody?
Maybe the Liberals would lose if conservatives would quit hogging all the failure for themselves.

Liberals don't want the U.S. to lose wars. That is a conservative myth. Liberals are aware that some wars are unavoidable. The war in Iraq was not unavoidable. And what moron would think that any liberal always wants the U.S. to lose. You show how shallow you are and that reflects on others in your party.

GOP presidents intentionally create wars, for several reasons: 1. They are traitors to America. 2. War is big business for their buddies (corporations). 3. Gop presidents hate the American way, which implies justice for ALL, not only for a few traitorous conservative Republicans.

You mean which Ameicans want to lose wars, period. Apparently, by sending in too few troops, as Bush Sec of Defense appointee Robert Gates testified today, was one reason we are losing the war.
That, and underestimating the strength of the insurgency (just a few dead-enders:Rumsfeld), as well as not even planning for an occupation, and wasting billions of dollars by contractors like Halliburton (Cheney) are what cost us the war.
Thank the GOP for blowing it, not Liberals for pointing it out.

It must be "ask stupid questions about liberals when you don't even understand the term" night.
edit: I forgot; it's late, and that's when all the "conservative" idiots come out to play on Y!A!

I am a liberal and I just don't want to be in wars. I was o.k. with going after Osama, but not o.k. with W. trying to finish what his daddy started.
